He was once the Grotto for the Church of Satan in Melbourne but decided to open up the "Haunted Bookshop" on McKillop Street as it has always been his childhood dream to do so. People did not really come in to buy much from him but wanted to talk and then people wanted to SEE the places he spoke of that were reported to be haunted. Hence, the birth of an international standard Ghost Tour.
My friends and I have been on a similar Ghost Tour in Sydney at 'The Rocks' but Drew seem to really know his stuff. The real-ness of the history and stories he told made chills go up and down my spine. And, really, it takes quite a bit to scare me.
Anyways, what really amused me through out the tour wasn't really the stories of ghosts but the guide himself- Drew Sinton. Despite him running a store that seems to have a lot of things related to Satan, death, psychic and devils, he seems to have a very calm non-satanic nature about him. Something that says he knows a lot more than he is letting on and even though his mother won't even set foot in his store, he seems to carry on with life quietly and ever so peacefully.
Perhaps I am a little too fascinated for my own good but one cannot deny the curiosity one feels around this interesting character. There are secrets he seems to be keeping and yet there doesn't seem to be. He shares openly with you the knowledge he has and appreciates tiny gestures of kindness from the people around him.
For example, we requested to take a picture with him and he said "Oh! Sure, how sweet~". Ok, we weren't being "kind" per say... just being the typical camwhoring Asians but hey, it is just cool to have someone so normal yet not.
and a little bit more about him http://www.haunted.com.au/doco/evilr01.html

Thanks, Jiayueh for organising the tour.
A quote from Jodi Picoult's book NOT because I'm in love but
'cause tis related to ghosts:
"True love is like ghosts, which everybody talks about
and few have seen."
