Wanna be on top?
ANTM's theme song lyrics went something like "Wanna be on top? *echo echo echo*"
Well, YES.
I'm tired of feeling like that girl who gets the 2nd place.
Perhaps there are reasons for these things happening like how runner ups in American Idol can sometimes shine brighter compared to the actual winner of the show.
But, rejection gets tiring.
*I* wanna be on top!
Alone
It sometimes seems that it is easier to be alone.
That loneliness can consume one so much that it is all there is to live for.
The struggle between it being easier to be alone and the joy of being around people you care for.
It is a tough battle to fight.
The sadness in loneliness can be comforting somehow.
Yet, you long for the warmth that those you love provide you with.
You want to reach out and seek for that warmth. Searching for that light but feel the darkness soothe you from within.
Sometimes it seems like a struggle between two personalities. Fighting for one to win.
Yet when the light reaches out to you, you can't deny the strength you draw from it. You feed on it and it makes you stronger. Guiding you to the warmth you so crave.
It is funny no matter how long I stay in the darkness of loneliness that seems so natural, it feels like home following the hand that holds the torch.
In other words, am grateful for all the love I am blessed with from my family and closest friends.
A little different sort of love that Valentine's Day promotes but yeah, I wonder what is it that allows me to let darkness envelope me sometimes :P
Almost equal to :P
Medicine= Law
Because of the fact you have to memorise a lot.
Law=Accounting
'Cause whatever you do in Accounting is related to some Law.
Hence,
Medicine=Accounting
HAHA!
(We figured it was actually more appropriate to use the "almost equal" sign instead :P)
And, that is why we Teddies are all friends :P
Wishing Foo and Jo a safe trip to Australia!!!
Stalking for a living
I think I should drop Commerce...
... to become a private investigator
Don't need a degree. Just need to spend my time perfecting my skills through facebook and reading tons of psychology books.
Yeap.
That would be my dream job.
Getting all the background on a person then extracting information from them.
Jodi Picoult, you inspired this gal again~
Reversed Roles?
Me: "Your shirt?"
Bro: *in the middle of drinking water, so just discreetly shakes head*
Me: "I guess tis pretty nice...?"
Bro: *finishes drinking water* "No, I meant my new spectacles~!"
Me: "Oh! Yeah........ they are nice :P"
I thought it sounded a little similar to the very stereotyped conversations people have in Boy-Girl relationships.
Girl: "Do you notice anything different?"
Boy: "Erm. The dress??"
Girl: "No! My new haircut!!"
Except in my situation, I was the BOY >.<
Maybe, I just have an odd sense of humour.
...............
Life moves pretty fast for some ppl eh?
I know about 3 ppl who are already engaged at the ages of 23-25...
And, I was just thinking... I will only GRADUATE at the age of 23. Start working at 24 and...
Uh Oh. Am I behind schedule in the "finding lifelong partner" department?
Then again, life, for these ppl seems to move pretty fast.
Such capable, responsible and successful people.
And, in case anyone actually reads my random babbles.
There is no real point to this post but to state some facts :P
My friend keeps saying "single and ready to mingle"
I say... "Independent and rocking~!"
So totally unfair
It is absolutely unfair for anyone to look this good their entire life!
Now:

Then:

Ok, I admit I was thinking that maybe Richard Gere looked so-so when he was younger hence went looking for his photos in his younger days. I mean, most stars were so-so when younger and seem to grow (or surgically enhanced) in their older days. But, seriously! How can someone look this good since.... ever! >.<
Well, at least some of the good looking-ness was shared with the world :P
So, it has been a little scary
... to know that one is a little more vulnerable than one used to be.
Flipping through my high school yearbook. Lots of memories, lots of courage.
I remember the time when I was all psyched up to get on the plane to Australia.
I didn't care that I was getting on the plane alone. Arriving alone. Facing the world... alone.
Now, I say that Im used to the loneliness. I say that meh... I can survive on my own.
But, it is scary when I know that it is easy for that courage to be crushed.
It is easy for one to be scared.
It is easy for one to want to lie in the background and not face it all alone.
It is easy to lie under the bed (like in a horror movie) waiting for everything scary to go away before you dare to come out.
The thing is, everything one is scared of won't just go away.
The thing is, it is scary how my heart can never deny you...
