"To love or not to love"

"To love or not to love?"

The question keeps getting harder and harder...

AND, scarier...

Used to have so little fear. What happened?

two weeks feels like a long time..

"two weeks feels like a long time.."

Yet, it has just flew by.

I have been back home and working for 2 weeks now and I have to say everything has moved
so fast.

The food back home somehow tastes so much better to me now :P Though, I insist on having
more home-cooked/ home-prepared food lately.

Work has been interesting. The seniors are really nice and are awesomely patient at explaining
all that they are aiming to do.
Definitely a great learning experience. I was honestly preparing myself for filing, printing,
data entering and getting coffee for the staff members.
So, one would say I am now pleasantly surprised at the internship programme.

One thing that REALLY gets to me though? THe friggin' KTM! The friggin so called friggin' train!
It's just too small, too infrequent, too old and too few of them.

To add salt to the already painful train experiences, ppl choose to PUSH you in or nudge you to
the side as you already struggle to get through the tiny tiny doors! Like, I know asians are
suppose to be smaller but seriously?? what kind of train designer would design such friggin
small doors?!?!?!?! THINK damn it think!!

Oh, and as I have mentioned to a few of my friends already, the anti-smoking ad that is on every
single handle (that you hold on to for balance) really just makes me wanna smoke more than it
makes me wanna stop. I say this because they have potrayed a VERY healthy looking chinese
man smoking and the smoke is floating around him in a very artistic fashion and all of this is on a
black backdrop. Honestly, it makes cigarettes a lot more appealing than it is.

If you're gonna say smoking kills... put a guy who actually looks like he's dying!? Or at least make
the words "SMOKING KILLS" like 50 times bigger than it is?

Complaints about the government aside, I have been loving the predictability of the weather here!
It actually took me a day or two to forget about bringing a jacket around :P

Somehow, being back always brings back my confidence and motivation that I seem to lack
when I am back in Melbourne. I guess tis the love of family and friends here that keep me strong.
Not that I don't have any family or friends in Melb tho. But, Melb... is just somehow a lil lonelier for
me. It makes me feel like love is just not enough.

Well, Im just glad Im home. Shall enjoy the warmth (literally and metaphorically) whilst I can :)

small talk

"Small Talk"

Sometimes... I forget how do to do it.

Your name
Your country
Your course
Your interests
Your age
Your hobbies

Sometimes, I miss high school where we could always talk about bullshit, nonsense and knew what everyone was "doing" 'cause we all saw each other everyday anyways.

"Oh, hi! So what have you been up to?"

Sue-Anne's brain processing: "Don't know... Can't remember... *struggles to recall*"
Blurts out: "Nothing much, really."

Something tells me that I have forgotten how to socialise. aikz~

Missing home~

"Missing home"

Keep dreaming about home. Friends back home. Family back home.

Dreamt about swimming with friends back home. Dreamt about riding Elephants with family back home.

I had a "taste" of home last night. A new cafe opened up on Elizabeth Street called "Coconut House". The most authentic Nasi Lemak I have had in Melbourne so far! Got the egg, the papadum, the santan rice, the sambal, the ikan bilis, the peanuts, the cucumber, the wonderful-mouth-watering curry and CHICKEN!! Dang na bit. Twas awesome.

Sometimes I sit at my table and forget that I am actually in Australia- only to look up from Quantitative Methods and see an unfamiliar lay out...

Sometimes I think Im at home when I decide to wear shorts and a t shirt to step out to buy groceries- only to realise the sun may be shining but the wind is bloody cold...

Home-- it's warm, sunny, has small walkways, where shops open even AFTER proper working hours (8am-5pm), where one can count on a good friend to step up to help, where family really is.

A lil cross-stitch that used to hang in my house.

"Home Sweet Home- Where the heart is *heart*"

SO true~

We all need to move on

"We all need to move on"

And by "we", I mean "me".

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHAHHAHAHAHA!!

Sue-Anne is crazily addicted to 'one tree hill'. It's like a teenage version of daytime soap opera but I llOooveee it! :P

I must quit you

"I must quit you"

Coffee & Cigarettes by Michelle Featherstone

I gave up coffee and cigarettes
I hate to say it hasn’t helped me yet
I thought my problems would just dissipate
And all my pain would be in yesterday

I poured my booze all down the kitchen drain
And watched my bad habits get flushed away
I thought that that would keep my head on straight
And all my pain would be in yesterday

But it’s true
I’m still blue
But I finally know what to do
I must quit, I must quit, you

I thought that if I didn’t go and play
The sadness would get bored and go away
I thought that if I didn’t go astray
That all my pain would be in yesterday

But it’s true
I’m still blue
But I finally know what to do
I must quit, I must quit, you

I sold my guitar and my piano
I thought that it was these that kept me low
I thought if only I could try and change
That all my pain would be in yesterday

But it’s true
I’m still blue
But I finally know what to do
I must quit, I must quit, you

I must quit, I must quit, you

never letting you go

"never letting YOU go"

... yet I'm choking myself.

I wonder if really feminine boutique stores would hire me. Like, 'Peter Alexander'? I wonder if I do get hired, will I become super girly like the store is? :P

I wonder if this 'recession' will mean that I won't get hired next year?

Would I opt to suffer in pain and die if I ever get cancer or will I go through the usual chemotherapy? On the basis that the cancer cells have spread and/or is quite big.

Will I actually be afraid when staring in the face of death or will I be just as calm about as I am now?

This natural balance of life... I believe in it yet I don't understand it. If we were meant to die some time- why did God give us enough brains to slow down/quicken (pollution and all) the process?

One's death doesn't bring joy to anyone in the world but does it bring relief to the one who had to suffer before dying?

When will the end justify the means?

When will one cease to believe?

Acceptance

"Acceptance"

Acceptance the last step when facing "grief" over a loss.

Sometimes, one just needs to accept that something or someone is gone.

Sometimes you have to know that it is time to say 'goodbye' and just let it all go.

It is easy to survive alone but harder to open one's heart to let others in.

How long will pushing away last?

let it be

"let it be"

Just tired~

Just oh so tired~

20th birthday on the 20th of Sept

"20th birthday on the 20th of Sept"

I am 20 now.

No more a teenager. And, boy, did I get an amazing welcome and farewell to the beginning of the 20s and ending of the teens.

Teenage years seem to run forever. It seems so so so long ago.

But, Im glad to be leaving the teen years behind with the same amazing family, friends and great new friends I have met along the way too. :)

I have to say this year, I had my 2nd ACTUAL birthday surprise. Meaning that, I REALLY was surprised la~ (the first being when my classmates in Form 5 gave me a teddy bear).

And, I have to thank Ria for going all the trouble to steal numbers off my phone so that she can call my friends to come along. She did a great job as she had to organise TWO birthday surprises at a go. Tough job, I have to say.

Love you, gal~~

Why did Ria have to organise TWO birthday surprises? 'Cause Moosa shares the same birthday as me! So, twas kinda cool to have a joint birthday as well. Double the fun? Heheh! Ria looks so cute behind there.

Front (from L-R): Joanna, Ria, Amy, stranger with cake, Yvonne, Lyncia, Sarah, Vin
Back (from L-R according to placement of heads :P): Ding, Paul, Harsh, Goldfinch, Akshat, Cuyegkeng, Ashley, Mo, Moosa and Rishi

THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR MAKING THE CELEBRATION SO MUCH FUN!! Thanks to all those who helped with the BBQ~ Which would actually be almost everyone . Thanks for taking time to travel from far places to celebrate with me  (Joanna, Christopher and Ding). Thanks for just being there. Thanks for the presents, the cards and especially for the sincere words.

Thanks also to those who called/visited me the next day and brought me medicine
for my cough (you know who you are... Jiayueh :P).

Thanks to the... TEDDIES!! Was so cool to receive "mail from Malaysia" (quoting Yong's
msg behind the envelope). Love you all so much and missing you always...

Thanks to everyone who gave me wishes. Thanks to someone (Audrey.. haha!) for
giving me a shout out on my birthday even in the US. HAHAH!!

Thanks for the presents sent from home (family and my fav cuzzie, Grace).

And, yeah, goodbye teeny years... hello 20s~ Here's to another whirlwind of life
experiences~ :D

Is it really spring?

"Is it really spring?"

Spring~

Suppose to be the season for love

All I see are broken hearts

All I see are broken connections

It feels cold

It feels sad~

Perhaps when all the shit falls... flowers will spring again~

Spring~ Get it?

Great effing spring is here

Let us all "celebrate"

Nothing is more liberating

"Nothing is more liberating"

Nothing is more liberating than doing something just for the sake of a good cause.

Below: The sandwich board I made for UNICEF Club's Children's Rights Day.

A Fun day filled with children painting, playing, and getting their tiny CUTE little faces painted! Sorry I can't post their pics up here as, you know, potential lawsuits and all. But, yes, use your imaginations... they were so adorable!

Yeap~ Liberating is when you love what you're doing more than brooding over what could be done... Liberating is when you can care just enough...

Liberating is when I can say "I don't like you anymore 'cause you are an absolute asshole" but I don't need to. 'Cause I'm liberated.

My Library Day

"My Library Day"

10am-1pm: "City Library" down on Flinders Lane.
I love a library that actually has 'Stephen King' and Terry Goodkind' books.
Unfortunately, twas kind of cold in their "quiet reading room", kept having to go to the toilet and there was some weird guy who propped his foot right on the table in front of my face. Well the side of my face anyways. And he had on this REALLY massive black dirty shoe... So, twas kind of disturbing and the other half of the time there was this guy breathing AND coughing really loudly but poor guy was sick so twas understandable.

1pm-2pm: Lunch time!
Had 2 apples and 2 slices of.... MOONCAKE! Eating as I walked around exploring random shops. I found a retro vintage shop in one of those old quaint shopping malls that Melbourne likes to call "arcades". Kind of interesting, if you ask me.

And, in that time I managed to visit the shop that housed the shoes below~~

I have been eyeing them for a couple of weeks now.
So, in to the store I went. Asked the lady about the shoes. She took them off the display and asked me whether I wanted to try them out. SURE!!! tried. So nice! Another incentive? 10% goes to charity!! :D:D One of the 100 designs that Converse picked out to sell and have 10% of proceeds be given to the Global Fund to fight Aids, tuberculosis and malaria~ :D:D www.converse.com

Converse is awesome~ And yeah, so I bought them~ AAA!! *feels guilty*

2pm-5pm: "State Library"
Ok, I fell asleep for like 20 minutes or so listening to Mozart. But I did finish one week's worth of lectures and questions  :P

5pm-7pm: "COOKING DASH"
Yes, ladies and gentlemen, I managed to find ANOTHER WHOLE NEW DASH TO PLAY!!

7pm-~9pm: "State Library" - This time I had company~ Yeay! :D
Yes. I think I kinda bugged Moosa to come to the library with me. :P But we got work done! :D And starbucks later! Caramel Hot Chocolate~ YUmmmmm

Now? Sleepy bye bye time~

I think I shall play one more level of "COOKING DASH"~ :D:D

All the good guys have girlfriends and there are more females than males in the world.

Sometimes, people (i.e. I) have to accept that they might just not find a "special one".

All we need are the special oneS.

What is "the one" to you?

The One dream job?
Then One special love?
The One special place you belong to?
The One ...

Everyone has something they are running after. Don't you think? Whether you are religious, filthy rich or just an average bloke. We all run... Running for something.

*thinks of Usain running at 9+seconds for 100m. Amazing*

"Im the guy friend"

No. Don't worry. Continue to tell me how hot that girl is.

Continue to tell me how sexy the car engine is.

Continue to whack me on the arm in a very "encouraging" manner.

Continue to complain how the girls in our batch weren't as hot as the girls in the lower batch to me.

Continue to think of me as a brother.

Yeah sure... go on... It's ok. Im used to it. Perhaps my looks deceive you into thinking that I'm a boy? I'm not sure... but sure... go on...

My 100th emo post

"My 100th emo post"

Hell yeah... I can be mature.

It's just not fair that some people can still be ignorant.

Ignorance may be bliss for the ONE being ignorant but NOT the one being ignored~

Nope.

No Siree...

Let's see how many friends I lose by being detached and ignorant for a week.

Wait.

Guess what? I believe I already am!

I'm being mature but I need some answers babeh...

Some explanation...

explanation(S) to ... everything...

Who am I to you?

Who are you to me?

I want the world to walk around with signs with exactly those answers.

I have my mum, my dad, my brothers, my cousins, my aunts, my uncles, my grandparents etc. It's so simple.

But who really are the rest?

WHO?

Even when I sleep

"Even when I sleep"

I see myself crying

My conception is that everyone is in denial.

Everyone is running away.

From our feelings, our desires...

We use "goals" to push us forward. Hobbies to make us forget.

I feel myself blocking out so much... pushing away so much...

I use my work to conquer fear after fear.

Only the music playing through my ears allow me to forget~

I just want to care

"just wanna feel..."

HAHAHA! Familiar song?

Can't someone else care...

I will miss...

"I Will Miss..."

You...

You...

You...

and ALL of you...

You know who you are~

Now come here and give me a big ol' TEDDY hug!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Take a 'Which Friends' Character Are You?' quiz.

I'm Phoebe

"You are the most unique F.R.I.E.N.D. there is! From a shady past you have transformed into almost a neo-hippie - a noncoformist who does things differently and is proud of it. You are passionate about the things and people you care about as they are about you. You are frank and are not afraid to speak the blunt truth despite its possible inappropriateness. At times you can be rather random - but people around you love it !"

Im' sorry... A lil too frank sometimes.

Was just thinking randomnly. The saying really should be "it's a bitch eat bitch world out there". The females of the human species can actually be really really really cruel. I mean, they really can kill a girl without feeling remorse. That, and the fact that JS's dog bit me. HAHAHAHA!!

No no... really I realise that girls can be such evil ppl sometimes. Like, the movie "mean girls" is only the tip of the ice berg.

Random~

My soft spot

"My soft spot"

Ever feel like someone always has a soft spot in your heart no matter what?
No matter what they had done.

No matter where they are.
Always there... and you know they are always there in the back of your mind. In the soft spot they have created in your heart.
Now, is THAT love?
Photo of a mushroom...taken by JS. Photoshopped by me~ :P
Ooo.. and just for some eye candy... Our Taman Negara Leng Zhai~ who helped Yuan Dong and Joshua (in effect) by throwing the leech away from out path.
Our one and only...
TNT Hero~

Once again photo from JS's cam. Ooo look at the sexiness of the water dripping from his heavenly curls and observe the intensity of his crystal blue eyes.

Can I get a *DROOL* from the ladies please :P

Sorry la... I couldn't resist! :P

Moles

"Moles"

Found this website http://kamranmian.blogspot.com/2006/06/meaning-of-moles-on-your-body.html which I found pretty interesting as it talks about the "hidden meanings" of one's moles.

So, I figured I would do a lil analysis of myself.

Mole or Birthmark on the Left Cheek
This is a very sensual and adventurous lady. She adores beauty and loves sex, but when she gets a boyfriend, it is really a funny game to play.
She loves to travel, to see other things and new things. Mostly she is ambitious, but also likes to have fun. She is an intelligent lady, well liked and always seems to have good luck. She is respected by others who respect her and are willing to help her if she needs it. She will marry a foreigner, and live far away.

Whoa... Apparently I love sex. Does that explain the odd jokes I come up with once in a while and me thinking that the whole world is sexually frustrated? Hey! Dont' blame me! Freud thinks so too! Just go through my "Dictionary of Dreams" and you will understand what I mean.

What the heck does a "FUNNY GAME" to play mean??? Seriously!! FUNNY?!?!?! GAME?!?!?! HUh? Please no more games. I have gone through enough of that shit.

And the prediction about me marrying a foreigner and living far away? Well, one of the fortune tellers actually already told my dad that. He said not to send me too far away as I won't come back. Hmm~ I can actually see that being true which is why I come back as often as I can. Though, I really should get started on finding a foreigner guy. HAHA! But I have this soft spot for the local chinese guys... so innocent and cute~ hehehe!

Mole 13
To have a mole near either side of your lower abdominal area means you will have a handsome husband or a beautiful wife. You yourself will also be blessed with good looks.

Oooo!!! Handsome husband!! I will be looking forward to that. Though, what makes them so sure that I will get married anyways? HA~ Yeah... I wish I was BLESSED with good looks. Then again, like my dad always says, money can buy beauty one... so don't worry too much. WAHAHHA! Yeah. Look at the Koreans~ They got it right. :P

Waa... I actually make a lot of references to things my dad said. Yeap. He is my main source of social solutions. Him and TV. So, if you don't trust him or tv, stop listening to my advice 'cause that's where it all comes from~ :P

Well, that's it really. I just wanted to share some stuff I thought pretty funny. I'm quite sure I had a website telling me that having a mole on my thight meant that I'm suited to pursue a career like accountancy but I can't find it anymore. Ah well~

Try interpreting your moles on this website~ :D This is another page which is a lil simpler to read http://kamranmian.blogspot.com/2006/10/hidden-meanings-of-body-moles_25.html.

Enjoy~ :D

Taman negara

"Taman Negara"

Whew~

Spending 4 days in Taman Negara was like going into an entirely different world.

Twas a world of rivers, sampans, trees... trees... more trees... and oh yeah and for some of us... LEECHES!! I kena one on my leg. Had a feeling I will kena. And Yong kena-ed on her tummy.

I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed the trip as there were a lot of unexpected stuff that I didn't expect to see.

I would have to say that the highlight of the trip was the flying squirrel!!!! (Sorry, Hong. Hearing Dong scream was NOT the highlight for me :P) I mean, seriously la.. even the guide was damn happy la... Apparently tis a rare sight to see the squirrel actually fly and we saw it TWICE!! That's just pure evidence of our luck.

The other best part of the trip, I have to say, is the cave exploration. Though, Joshua would disagree at this point. Maybe... as he... just like the rest of us thought that CAVE exploration meant a BIG BIG cave that you just walk into and the guide points out all the boring ol' stuff. So, he wore jeans and his big ass camera and trudged through the rocky and flooded cave. I have to give him props for going all the way though. HEHEHE!!

Twas really cool how we could see the bats SO close up!! I mean, normally they just point them out and ask you not to shine the light on them etc... but these ones let you shine on to them and watch them in action etc :D

I have to say that the guides were really skilled. They spotted snakes on bushes and even stick insects without shining their lights directly onto it.

Best of all? Hanging out with an AWESOME group of ppl (I shall go in alphabetical order so that I rmb everyone :P). So thanks to Joshua, Jun Sheng, Kai Shin, Qi Hong, Wan Yong, Wui Li and Yuan Dong for being part of this mini adventure! HEHEHE!

Rock on peeps!

And ... if you'd rather have a super detailed version of what happened in Taman Negara. Please follow the link to Qi Hong's blog~ :P

I don't get it

"I don't get it"

I don't get this thing called love.

I used to believe in it. Believe there is gonna be that feeling of care that would forever linger around you.

But....... movies and shows are confusing me.

How come they can deny love so easily? How come they can just put it off and just brush it off while continuing on with life as normal. I can't even sleep sometimes when I didn't tell my parents the truth~

So, maybe people are just always waiting for someone better to come along.

I just don't get it. How can you deny a feeling so strong?

Back home~ :D

yeap. Im back home.

I was actually thinking that I don't really want to update this blog anymore.

Why?

I have no idea. Maybe it was because I used to keep a "Linkin Park Journal" 'cause I needed opinions from others to justify my actions. I wanted people to hear my insecurities and comment on them. However, so far, *crosses fingers* I feel like I need less of that and I need to take life in a different direction.

Of course I could keep this blog in a less emo state. HAHA! But, more often than not I "write" (or 'type') to release my inner most thoughts that have been bugging me in the shower.

'Sides, everyone already knows Im BLOODY HAPPY to be home~ I keep smiling... I keep taking in everything around me.

Teddies are awesome~!!!! Need to take more pics of you guys 'cause I sometimes enjoy looking at pics of you guys on my computer during my free time in Aus. HAHA~! Am I the biggest senti or what? :P

Ooo... and my new toy? Sennheiser HD 202 stereo headphones!!!!

Listening to music with them right now. Music has never sounded so good to me before!!! Im officially spoilt~! How can I ever take them off and go through life without listening to it through headphones now?

Ok~ Now time to look for a layout that doesn't leave "those people" who use Firefox unable to read my posts.

Guess, I will be maintaining this blog after all eh? :P

'Cause Jo is cool~ :D

Today is Jo's birthday!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DOOD!!
Below: Jo being oh so cute! Whee~ :P

Keep cool!

Keep rocking on!

Hope you enjoy your birthday! :D

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So, after exams have been kind of well... random? :P
I spilled my drinks in 2 restaurants of which one was this really fancy Indian restaurant called "Narankar". REALLY fancy omg.. ok. maybe it's 'cause I have never actually been to a FANCY Indian Restaurant where they actually lay the napkin down on your lap for you and all. But twas fantastic...
FIVE girls FIVE meat dishes. >.< Yes we are all pigs. We had fish curry, beef korma, romantic lamb, tandoori chicken with rice and naan. Whoa liao... don't ask me how 5 tiny girls ate so much la. Then, I stayed up the next day till 7am ... the following day. Went Shisha-ing, chocolate indulging and finally for a movie "Don't mess with the Zohan". The movie was pretty cliched but oh so funny with all the random shit they put into it. Finally, went over to Kritika's place with Ria to visit Gaurav and well... Kritika. HAHA! Ended up watching a Bollywood movie called "Jab We Met" (When we met) at 2am... The movie ended at 5am... Yeah... we should hv just given up on sleeping but we started to walk back in the rain at 6am and finally fell asleep at 7am... so random. :P My parents called and reminded me of all the food I get to enjoy when I'm back home. HAHA! Honestly, at this rate, with me not exercising here and gorging on food back home, Im just gonna put on weight exponentially. And now, I feel like going shopping but am way too lazy to do so. Maybe I should get out of Pyjamas first considering it is already 3:3o in the afternoon. Hmm~
My Fake Plastic Love
I get it now~
It wasn't Fake...
It was Platonic~... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Platonic_love
Donating blood today~ O postive blood to help at least 3 people.
Hmm...
All I can think about...
It is the morning of my last exam for the semester...
And all I can think about is telling you that...
"Not everyone forgets. There is a way to care without caring too much and too little."
Sue-Anne.
Why?
'Cause I'm crazy for hanging on for so long.
haih~
People are selfish
Law.
People who go into it are those with the purest of souls.
People who were hoping to fight for justice.
Hoping that they could make a difference in this world.
(I can't say for every person who goes into law that that is what they feel but let's just talk about the nice people who go into law for that reason. Anyways~)
Instead, walking into it. They realise the loopholes.
Instead, walking into it. They are driven to the bone with work. Driven to the bone to solving the cases for "the man".
They lose their direction. Searching for objective rewards like money, ownership and power.
They lose the person that used to be so selfless when stepping into this world, thinking that they could take injustice by the throat and tell it to "Step off".
(again, I'm not speaking for every person that goes into law)
What I have learnt through this semester's law subject-- "Legal Theory" is that there is more than just Western Law... meaning the law we know. There are the laws of the indigenous people. Their laws show that ownership is not entirely in the hands of humans. Land is land. Land does not belong to us humans. We are puny compared to the power that created us.
Perhaps I'm not entirely sure what I'm getting at but it jsut shows that the laws created by humans are just not enough to achieve justice. Not just guilty-not-guilty justice but the justice that those who initially went into law believed that they could achieve by learning this subject. The kind of justice that paints the world a "hippy" kind of colour.
Do you get what I'm getting at? We are being selfish by claiming the world to be ours. The world is not entirely ours. The world is the world and we live in it.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Another thing that crossed my mind. You know how sometimes we just won't express our feelings for the fear of how the other person might respond?

Isn't that just being selfish? Like, being afraid that YOUR feelings will be hurt. But doesn't that person deserve to know how much you care for them too? I mean, everyone likes to know that they are appreciated etc.

I guess it can go both ways.

I guess, Im just wondering about the success rates between expressing how you feel versus NOT expressing how you feel.

What if we went through life just expressing how we feel all the time?

Like that antenna thing where you can detect exactly how that person feels about you.

Would life be so much easier?

Would people not be so screwed up?

But, the question is whether people are understanding enough to take everything that people think of them in a mature and rational manner.

Are we being selfish with our feelings?
There is more to life than just black and white (like law).

Flemington Road

Today:

First time down Flemington Road, knowing where I'm going.

Whee~

Ok la... Kam actually told me in quite a lot of detail where to turn and all. :P

But, hey! I have conquered my fear of Flemington Road.

That's a good start :D

Stop Believing

Losing faith...

Lost motivation...

Just got rejected for an internship. Saw that coming. Didn't do well for last year anyways.

Choose... Having a life... choose living in the movie world.

Choose to not care.

Don't think I believe in this thing we call love anymore.

It is difficult for me to believe in anything or anyone now.

We are left to question everything.

We are left to doubt ourselves.

I just wanna feel how's it like to jump out off a moving vehicle... jump off the ledge... feel the freedom.

Expectations... beliefs...

I don't want them anymore.

I have lost my faith.

I'm just a girl with a lot of feelings...

Remember that girl in "Mean Girls" who crashes the high school girls' apology session?

"No, I don't go to to school here. I just have a lot of feeel-ings... *sobs*"

Ah well. I think I'm that girl.

Kind of stressed at the moment.

My parents just left Melbourne this morning. There is this sense of absence around me (yes around me.. .not in the apartment 'cause they were hardly in the apartment anyways).

I feel like I need to care for someone unconditionally. Need to love someone. Need to immerse myself into a good cause that I truly believe in.

Instead, I find myself detached. Worried about my law essay but trying not to panic as panicking will only make me lose my focus and hence be unable to write any argument whatsoever.

I'm really worried about the essay.

I really just want to pass.

I miss my parents~ I miss home~ I miss my friends from back in the good ol' days~
When it was all just so easy and so close knit.

I need to care for people yet I withdraw myself. Further and further into my cocoon.

My Fake Plastic Love

Looking back...

Seems like everything I have ever felt was shallow.

My past doesn't seem to make me feel warm. Neither does it make me cold.

It's a feeling of neutrality. Indifference. Or maybe, tis all denial.

No no.. I totally lie. Just wanted to put up my photoshopped pic. WAHAHAH!

Tis actually me staring at the balloon with an amazed expression on my face. :P

But since I have been obsessed over the song "Fake Platic Trees" by Radiohead. I thought that would be my theme.

Lyrics that inspired me:

"She looks like the real thing.
She tastes like the real thing.
My FAKE PLATIC LOVE"

and

"And if I could be who you wanted
If I could be who you wanted
All the time, all the time"

Sorry. Me is having founded new obsession...! :P

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I still lie
I miss you like crazy
Like a crazy bitch
So so crazy
I belong in a mental ward
Never quite there
I realised something about myself and I probably mentioned this before but I am never QUITE THERE...
People have called me funky but I don't think I quite am.
People have said Im emo but not quite... ie. I don't cut myself.
I never quite completed my tae kwon do to be black belt.
I never quite got the scholarship I was working toward in College (during matriculation)
I never quite work all the way to get the full marks that my mother believes I can get but I never do 'cause I NEVER QUITE work as hard as I should.
I never quite went all the way with my drama classes even though I loved them.
People have said that I'm not like a typical Malaysian but I'm not entirely not a typical Malaysian as I still dress like one with my fakely branded t shirts and jeans/long pants.
I have never quite been in a relationship. I kinda ditched a guy half way through back when I was 16 I think. I still can't recall what happened to that 'cause I do believe it just stopped without either party saying anything.
See... I never quite have closure to any of my crushes either.
I have never quite fallen in love.
I never quite work hard enough in the positions I have held. ie. Didn't keep the class quiet as a class representative, be all social as president of the Leo Club (in fact I think I was quite anti Leo Club members from other schools... and I say WAS ok? I was emo back then... not quite... bleh)
Oh yeah.. and I always say I'm anti social but not quite.
I never quite went all the way with dancing.
I never quite went all the way with my poetry.
Never quite able to sing well.
Never quite able to play a musical instrument well.
Never quite awesome in any of the languages I have learnt.
Not quite that awesomely funny.
Never quite place an impression on people I have just first met.
Never quite recognisable.
Even my now dyed hair isn't quite all that red.
Besides the fact that I'm all girl. Biologically. Im really not quite anything, am I?
Maybe I'm not even quite all a girl. Should ask my parents.
Oh~ speaking of being a girl.
My aunt has given birth to a baby girl named Gwyneth~!!
I know, such a fantasy story book name right?
Grace and I in unison: "Uncle CK mar"
Yeap. That's our cool uncle and aunt who still read fantasy novels and rock out at concerts~!
Speaking of which, I'm not quite as cool as I think I am.
HAHA~!
No, really. That was a joke.
So where am I when I am never quite there?
Where do I stand? Really~
'cause I wanna let the whole world know im angry
Hmm~ Not exactly what I wanted...
But.. at least it's red....-ish? :P
In other news...
Doesn't this potato kinda look like a breast?
Looks a lil hairy though, don't it? :P
fuck this shit
seriously
HATE
I DON'T KNOW WHAT I WANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Because Im bored
And I remembered that I was suppose to show my friends my Linkin Park jacket like eons ago.
Im not really one for camwhoring. I prefer taking pics of things that don't move. Inanimate objects, if you prefer.
My temporary replacement for my dog--Happy. I hug it when I feel needy although I technically got it for Ria. HAHA!
My life as a TV show
Ok, not my life but I find watching other people or even listening to people's stories is like television.
Well, obviously since TV's inspiration is the people.
However, growing up, TV was always about things that would never really happen to me.
For example, the TV mum/ dad will tell the TV daughter/son about the bees and the butterflies but I never got that talk from my parents before.
On TV, people get asked out all the time. They have romantic dates, kiss and go home all happy. tralalala~
Nope. Never happened to me before.
But, ever since coming to Australia, I realised how much I don't need TV 'cause I can just watch all my programmes unfold right in front of me.
Like goths on the tram swearing and talking about how shitty the bloody world is-- I thought I would only see THAT on TV.
Even the new side bar background for my blog. I took a photo of it while in the Grampians. Seriously, I thought I would only see a scene like that on TV.
Maybe it's because I watched a lot of American TV and since I was living in Malaysia, many white people things don't happen around me. Especially with me being part of the more conservative category of persons.
So, it would seem that I have good reason to call Foxtel up and tell them that they still have yet to cancel their service despite the previous tenant having stopped payment.
Really?
Should I call them?
NAh~:P
Yong Tagged Me~
1. What age do you wish to marry?
-My dad said I better be married by 28. But he didn’t quite train me to get a guy. So how ar?
2. What will you do when you feel really emo?
- I sit on a really comfy chair or the floor and stare into space. At points, I stop breathing but I always start breathing again. If that doesn’t help, I watch super sob movie and cry my heart out. If that doesn’t help, I write a poem. (Haven’t written a poem in a while, must be a good sign)
3. Who is your idol?
- Nobody. I admire people but that’s it. I think idolizing is a bit unhealthy at times.
4. Where is the place you want to go most?
- A house made on the clouds. Somewhere over the rainbow! :P
5. If you have one dream to come true, what would it be?
- Honestly I don’t know.
6. What is the purpose of your life?
- To play all the “Dash” spin-off games (ie. Diner Dash 1 and 2, Flo-on-the go, Wedding Dash, Doggie Dash etc.). Yeap. Then I will die happy. Someone give me a cracked version of Doggie Dash please~ :P
7. What are you afraid to lose the most right now?
- My passion for things. I lost it already. Oh well~
- But without my family and friends, I’d be lost.
8. What cheers you up for the rest of the day?
- Radiohead or jumping up and down for no reason
9. If you meet someone you love, would you confess to him/her?
- Huh? Meaning I loved someone that I have never met before then I suddenly meet him/her?? Well, If I know I have fallen for someone, I will definitely let them know in other ways but may not confess straight away. ;P
10. List out 3 good things about the person who tagged you.
- Efficient, Jack (Jill?) of all trades, Beautiful inside and out.
11. What type of person do you hate the most?
- Bimbo, bitchy people who don’t do work
12. What would you do if you won a million dollars?
- Invest to make sure the money is doubled or whatever. Do charity. Do the whole Brangelina thing and then get a House on the clouds. Haha. Sif.
13. What is your ambition?
- Be in the corporate world and deal with celebrities. HAHA!
14. What will you do if you get rejected by someone you like?
- Rejected so many times already and it seems like I’m still alive. Guess I will move on, evidently. I learnt something new about myself every time I got rejected. Though, I don’t think I have ever been explicitly rejected before. I’m too chicken to go that far.
15. If you have a chance, which part of your character would you like to change?
- My impatience especially with bimbos and my utter inability to sort out arguments for Law.
16. What is your favourite colour?
- Red. Makes me think of spirit and winning :P
17. What do you think is the most important thing in your life?
- Love. ‘Cause as Ria says… I’m a coconut. Hard on the outside but soft on the inside (actually like liquid on the inside. HAHA!).
18. If there's one thing in your life you want to do but yet unable to, what would it be?
- Be involved with the media world. Music Video Director babeh. I wanna make videos for cool ass rock bands! :P Oh~ and KILL ALL OF THE BIMBOS!
19. What would you do if tomorrow is the last day of the world?
- Fly home with my brother to see my family. Wish everyone I know a good after life and look forward to seeing everyone in another dimension~ What an imagination.
Actually I would also do some things that I have been holding myself back on. I guess.
20. What are the requirements that you wish from your other half?
- That when I’m with him, everything just seems to fall in place. An easiness should exist between us. Ups and downs will be easily understood by each other. Loyal, willing to do crazy things with me, understand my randomness and doesn’t mind subtle PDA-ing. WAHAHA! Opps. Too much info? Apparently, Virgos like to PDA. Hmm~
I tag anyone who wants to do this during your free time.
Whee~
The city is a lonely place
It just is.
Noone really wants to care about what you are up to.
Noone really knows anyone else.
I miss home~
Nope, daylight's savings has not ended
My internet has been shaped down to 64kbps. Nice~
Anyways, the week has not been THAT hectice yet I feel like all I want to do is lay in bed and never get out.
Oh! But guess what? I am out of bed!
Guess what? I don't know what to do about my Legal Theory essay 'cause the questions are as vague as it can be.
Oh! I became a tae kwon do member~ and grading is in 2 weeks!
What else is in 2 weeks?
Business Finance Mid term test! And right after that I have to hand in my Lega Theory outline!
Oh! And I ran for the Vice President of the UNICEF club in uni and I got it.
My body aches from doing exercise again after 1 and half weeks of skipping tae kwon do.
The wind has been blowing like a typhoon is coming and it caused my bicycle to fall over!
I made Korean Instant Noodle Soup 'cause my body insists that I have some artificial flavouring to be put into me.
I can't stop listening to Radiohead. It's like I'm a junkie.
You know how people drink coffee to stay awake? Give me music and I will stay awake all night for you, hawney.
Who knew that there can be so much to do but one can still be bored with life?
It's funny when...
When one goes spontaneously on a 3 day trip with 9 other people she doesn't really know that well.
When one has not slept in her own bed for 4 days.
When one just spent 2 hours on a question which was pretty easy.
When one is woken up by a fire alarm at 5:30am after thinking she has escaped all fire drills since she is no longer in college.
When one actually took 1 minute to get herself out of bed after hearing the fire alarm
When one set off the smoke detector in her apartment 'cause she was frying an egg.
When one just realises that she has experienced 2 fire alarms in a day.
When one has to wait 2-3 weeks for the elevator service guy to come so that she can get back her keys.
When one actually claims that she needs her "alone time" and ends up not being quite alone after all.
When life just unravels all the humour it has in it.~
random and spontaneous...
Eventful day today.
Was late in meeting up with Ben but made it just in time to meet him.
Managed to be in time to meet Enoch and his friends.
They were really nice people and didn't mind Ben and I tagging along on their Easter fish and chips tradition down at port melbourne.
Was a chilly day and after so many chips, everyone was getting a little sleepy. So, Ben and I dropped off at my street and I showed Ben where I live.
Ok, I still got time till Shu Min's bbq at 6:30 pm, so I land up in front of my comp and did some business finance tutorial work.
But, Kam came online and tried to convince me to run for VP of UNICEF. Little did he know I already wrote an email saying I will run for it.
So chat chat chat... We ended up deciding to go biking to yarra river. I was excited 'cause I can finally ride my bike... SOMEWHERE.
It was a nice cooling ride. First time using gears and I crashed into someone 'cause I couldn't control my bike but twas all good :P
Got back... was an hour late for Shu Min's bbq... but got there in time for them to come out and start cooking. So... err.. I wasn't that late after all?
Yummy bbq and all.
Oh yeah... forgot to mention that Enoch and his friends asked me to join them on a 3 day trip to the Grampians on Monday and I SPONTANEOUSLY said yes.
Anyways, Alex and Akshat were suppose to drop by my place at 9pm to watch TOP GEAR. So, I left the bbq early and walked back. My hands were cold by the time I reached my place.
I took out my keys. Felt it slip from my grasp. Hands were too numb to react......... And my keys FELL THROUGH THE GAP BETWEEN THE GROUND FLOOR AND THE ELEVATOR FLOOR!!!!!!!
*PANIC*
OMFG
*phone rings... it's Alex*
"Hey, I don't think there are trams today 'cause we have been waiting for half and hour and we haven't seen a tram go either way"'
"tis ok......... I did the most stupid thing ever.............."
Guess it just wasn't our day to see each other. HAAH! Or watch Top Gear. Hmmm
Elevator emergency hotline girl tells me that if I ask them to come in today (today being a public holiday 'cause it's Good Friday), I will have to pay $541. That's FIVE HUNDRED AND FORTY ONE AUSSIE DOLLARS..... ****TIMES**** 3 yea? Otherwise, I could ring them again on Tuesday when it's a working day and they can come in for free.
My options were obvious.... obviously :P
Headed back to Yvonne's place (where the bbq was held)... so basically hung out w Shu, Yvonne, Amy, Cuyegkeng and Brandon till Ria got back from her movie so that I can get in.
Lesson for the day?
Keep hands warm when dealing with keys.
And...
If you're tired, best to take it slow and actually rest.
And now I know.
Who wants to be a girly girl?
Life is more fun when you're random, crazy and kinda tomboy. (just kind of... not fully)
'Cause my dreams last night consisted of living in a house with a person who turned into a vampire every night after sun down... well that's not too bad.
But, I dreamt that my life was a Counter-Strike game. Kinda cool if you think about it.
BUT...
The problem was that I was not allowed any weapons! :-o
So, I guess I was still a girl running away and dodging the shots. Then, I had a guy stalk me from behind with some machine gun! My only weapon? Two fingers aimed straight at the eyes.
Other reasons:
I THINK I was the only asian GIRL at the Ozzy Osbourne concert bouncing along to his music. (okok... not bouncing lah~ but rocking out man!)
I found fixing up my bicycle fun.
I think F1 is cool.
All I wanna do in a boring lecture is to play a game. Though, im still kind of a girly girl about that 'cause I like games with colourful graphics! :P
And... should I run for the Vice President of the UNICEF club in uni? Hmm~
Happy Birthday, Ria!
Today is Ria's birthday but I decided to surprise her even more by making everyone come the night before to surprise her.
The initial plan was for us to surprise her at 12am of course but since we don't stay in college anymore and everyone had plans after 11pm (yeah.. why all these ppl so happening one?), I had to change the plan to 9pm.
Yes, a little early but it REALLY surprised her. HAHA!
So everyone basically gathered in the lobby and we all came up simutaneously to the door with the cake and sang Happy Birthday~!
I got her sparkling candles, so twas taking a bit long to blow them out.
The cake was strawberry cheesecake frm Breadtop and boy was it yummy.
Everyone actually made a sincere effort to come this little event despite their busy schedules.
So, would like to thank Sarah for being a bit late for her meeting, Moosa for coming in betwween all your moving, Kritika for coming by right after work, Akshat Alex Christopher & Harsh for coming all the way from IH. Oh yeah and Vivek for randomnly turning up and thus solving my problem of getting her to change out of her "house clothes". KEKE!
And at 12am, 18th March, I gave her a cute white soft toy dog and a scarf~
Standing: Sarah, Moosa, Kritika, Ria, Vivek,Christopher and Harsh.
Sitting/squatting: watashi (me in jap), Alex, and Akshat.
Man, planning this birthday makes me miss the Teddies a lot >.<
we just wanted butter chicken~
Twas the first week of university.
We all couldn't believe we were back to studying after a 3 month break.
We were still missing home.
So, with Harsh's casual mention about him knowing how to make butter chicken, a random dinner was somehow concucted.
I got the chicken, Kritika got the sauce, Ashley got drinks and jelly, Getmini got ice cream, Moosa got plates and cups, Christopher got garlic bread and chips and we all had a freast.
I made vegetarian pasta for Moosa and Ria. I was quite happy as people actually liked it. So shocked. Maybe it's just the sauce that I got out of the bottle. Maybe twas Ria helping me boil the pasta. Who knows? HAHA!
So, those present at the party were Akshat, Alex, Ashley, Christopher, Getmini, Harsh, Kritika, Moosa, Ria and I.
And somehow, our guest list kind of expanded with random visitors who all seemed to be nearby our place. Yes, I like our place we are in the centre of everything. WHEE!
Ok, so... tis picture time I believe :D
Akshat and Harsh cooking~
Christopher, Harsh, Alex, Ashley and Akshat enjoying South Park
Life update?
Ozzy Osbourne is crazy but his whole band puts up a crazy awesome performance!
Must say Zach Wylde (the guitarist)'s hair was totally distracting me. He looked like some warrior with blond long hair that flows along with his every move.
And, I got a bicycle for $108. Not too bad!
