Christmas is here~

Birthdays and Singapore

A trip to Singapore so that Karen and I can finally say that we actually have SEEN Singapore. Yes, that tiny country that just so happens to be right beside us.
'Cause we all so "daring" ar... We took the Glass-Bottom Cable Car. Well, twas only plastic actually. Anyways, from left to right: Karen, Qui Wan and Alex (who so graciously offered his house as accomodation and was our personal tour guide. Thanks Dood~!)
The 360 degree view you get from the cable car. HAHA! Ok not really. But I like the angle. Sinagpore has an extremely busy port. They ain't kidding when they say it's the busiest.
Underwater World at Sentosa. This is an exhibit of the growth process of a shark! You could even see the tiny little fetus wiggling inside. It was such an eye-opener. Applaud the fine attention they pay to detail. Beautiful.
Man-made beach at Sentosa. A bit odd seeing shipping boats just over the fake islands but a beach nonetheless :D And you know how I feel about beaches!
Ooo.. so cute. A lil bridge across to some mystery Island... Argh! Maties, A-treasure-hunting we go!
Our timing was brilliant as we walked in just in time for the cultural show which lasted for 30 minutes. Fire stunts and traditional dances were part of the agenda.
Right after the cultural show was the animal show presented by a very hilarious and lively host. Above is a photo of the trainers carrying a huge snake.
A volunteer trying really hard to remain calm as the host draped the humungous snake around his shoulders. They had to take the snake off fairly quickly 'cause, apparently, the snake was "hungry". Yes, kids. When a snake starts wrapping around your leg, it doesn't mean that it finds you attractive, it just thinks your supper.
The show was really impressive as they gave us interesting facts about each animal presented. These animals are wild and are not as smart as those you see in the zoo but somehow these talented trainers managed to train them fairly well.
The picture above is of the cute little things teaching us how to recycle. It's ok if you put it into the wrong bin, as long as you recycle. HAHAHA!
We then proceeded to a tram ride to see all the animals up close. It was fascinating to see all these nocturnal creatures going about their daily (nightly?) activities. I definitely want to go back and take the 1 hour 45 minute walk through the whole safari. Anyone wanna join me?By the time we were done at the Night Safari, we realised that we haven't even eaten dinner. So we roamed around Orchard Road looking for food. The lights were pretty, though the pictures are in Karen's camera... Awww... There was a huge Christmas tree set up on display somewhere (whereever Alex brought us to). Looked like S'poreans were all pumped up for the festive celebrations.
So that would be the past 10 days in a nutshell, I would reckon.
Joshua is back~ And we Teddies (whoever that is back that is) played a good ol' game of badminton. As Jo said, twas quite nostalgic.
Mmm... yeah. I feel like I should start taking more photos and be reading more books but....
FUTURAMA CALLS TO ME!!!!!!!!
*gets dragged away by mysterious force*
Amused?
Number 1: Why ladies wear pretty/cute/sexy underwear-- because when they feel crummy, it makes them feel good by wearing their sexy little numbers under their clothes.
Err... I'm one female who was not aware of that. I'm sorry, ladies but my underwears are all one coloured, plain and in the same design. Aikz! *shields self from sexy ladies in nice underwears* (now isn't that every men's fantasy? -wink-)
Number 2: One of the top supermodels does not own a brush.
I'm not sure who. But if you're on holiday, good luck finding out who it is on E! Channel. HAHAHA!
Come to think of it. She doesn't really need to own a brush since she already has hired work to do her hair anyways.
Number 3: Apparently, I use both parts of my brains quite equally.
Take the test to find out whether you use your left or right side of your brain more. http://www.news.com.au/perthnow/story/0,21598,22492511-5005375,00.html
I have seen the dancer go in both directions for equal amounts of time. It has just left me confused. What do you see?
Number 4: The break-up of Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling

Well apparently they split about two months ago but I feel devastated. Look at the passion and love there. Imagine how many people they gave hope to. Where's the hope now?

No, Ryan. How can you trade this beautiful, talented, semi-emo and loving actress in for Hayden?

Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against Hayden. It was just the chemistry, Rachel's class and poise was just perfect with Ryan. *tear* (yeah, I'm sorry. I had to pick a bad picture of Hayden. Though, must say props to the girl for being nominated for the Golden Globes.)
Wow! I just realised what a sexy post this turned out to be. Well enjoy wetting your pants! *cough* I mean, enjoy the rest of your day! :D
semi-emo
Hey! It's kinda expensive to be goth/emo/punk.
Meaningful tattoo? Price to pay= pain. But hey pain=pleasure (yes sense the silent supporter of punk/emo ness here?)
Ok ok. So, basically, I was thinking. It's so much work to put on mascara everyday, put on a scowl and make sure the excessive jewellery doesn't catch on to random materials. 'Sides, all that takes time and being genuine emo sucks so much energy. You need to feel sad and write poetry and think of all the money you need to spend on the CDs, make up and black clothes that only look good when they are of good quality. Oh and let's not forget about the Converse shoes shall we?
And thus, the idea of SEMI-EMOness was born.
Perhaps silent rebel would have better described it but I liked semi-emo 'cause despite one having less grudge against the world (and less money), one is still well... emo (emotional)
One star who I'm guessing would have gone through a semi-emo stage would be my favourite actor-- Johnny Depp
You see, apparently, before he began playing quirky roles in films, he was known as a teen idol. (yes unfortunately, I have been filling my time with lots of E! channel True Hollywood story) Anyways, he hated that. Resented the show (21 Jumpstreet) for putting him in this position of teenage heart throb. Talk about rebel. Talk about hating the media. I shall deem him semi-emo at this point of time. Yet he still worked hard and chased to earn money. See? Semi-emos don't exactly hate the world or want to kill themselves.
Don't you love how Johnny Depp can go from hunkalicious to....
Quirky, drunk and....
... no other word to describe him but TALENTED~!
semi-emo soldier...
... weird detective L from Deathnote
Sexy Indian... I mean Sexy Japanese Man
and even a totally cool rocker! Aikz! Can't see it from here but he has a piece of chain that links the piercing from his ear to the piercing on his lower lip. Can I say sexxxy? :P
I must say that this post has turned very bimbo but hey let's talk about the latest movie I have watched called "Nana". Never heard/watched it? Go do so. Y'all know it's at http://www.crunchyroll.com/
My favourite actress in the movie has gotta be semi-emo singer-- Mika Nakashima!
I would deem her semi-emo 'cause despite her cool tattoo (refer to lotus tattoo above), huge amounts of mascara, lack of eyebrows and poetic songs...
...she still manages to...
... look absolutely serene like this. So, quit moping and whining 'cause we all know it's the rich kids that are mostly emo.
Catch on.
Semi-emo is the way to go.
Note: HAHAH! not really. But don't you just love the unique character of each individual up there? I kinda do.
Note: This reminds me of the time I stared at a guy on the tram 'cause I thought he looked like one of those really good boy psycho killers who had really great looks but would just love to kill their mother.
Am I restless?
Hell yeah!
