Good quote from the boy: you should not be complaining if you haven't taken reasonable steps to resolve the issue in the first place. Step up and address the issue rather than living around it.
On an entirely separate note, I was just thinking about how just because some ppl insist what they do is showing you their love and taking care of you, it still shouldn't give them the right to control you. Live by their rules per say. I cannot continue to ask how high every time someone says jump. Advice hidden as mere suggestions, but their real intention is for me to do exactly what they want.
My dreams and values are NOT your dreams and values just because you caveat your advice with "see, we love you so much".
