She slept with tears in her eyes,
Thanking him for teaching her affection,
Cursing him for making her accept rejection.
She lived in the world of fiction,
Because reality was not where she belonged.
The familiar feeling devouring her,
She cannot let go.
Eating her from the inside,
Only through fiction it went away,
Only in fiction her emotions lay.
She knows the rules,
She knows the game,
Yet it devours her through her shame,
Devouring her like a virus,
A virus that will have its way.
Only she can save herself from this dungeon hole,
But soon she finds she has lost the strength to hold.
